Chiefs vs. Bills line, odds and predictions: Most of our experts like the Chiefs to win

The Athletic has live coverage of the Bills vs Chiefs in NFL Week 14 action.
A late-season clash between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs is must-see TV but for reasons completely different from what NFL fans expected. Both teams started the season with Super Bowl hopes, but each one has its weaknesses showing at this point in the season. The Chiefs are slight favorites over the Bills heading into their Week 14 clash.

Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
The Chiefs (8-4), losers of three of their last five games, no longer look like the cream of the crop in the AFC. The Bills (6-6), Super Bowl darlings heading into the season, have seen their playoff hopes go on life support with a 2-4 record in their last six games. Who would have thought either team would need a win so badly?
The Bills boast top-10 units on both offense and defense. Quarterback Josh Allen has passed for more than 3,200 yards and 24 touchdowns this season. But he has also thrown 13 interceptions and is on pace for a career-high total.
Wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis power the Bills’ air attack, but running back James Cook has been a strong No. 3 threat. Leonard Floyd (9.5 sacks) and Ed Oliver (six sacks) power a Buffalo defense yielding just under 19 points per game. Buffalo’s Week 13 bye gave them time to rest and prepare for the Chiefs.
The Chiefs trailed throughout the game in a disappointing 27-19 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 13. Patrick Mahomes remains an elite quarterback, though his performance against the Packers (210 yards, one TD, one INT) hardly showed it. The same goes for tight end Travis Kelce, who has just one TD in the last five games.
Kansas City has plenty of injury issues heading into this game. Starting running back Isiah Pacheco is out with a shoulder injury along with left tackle Donovan Smith, safety Bryan Cook and linebacker Drue Tranquill. Starting middle linebacker Nick Bolton may return to the lineup after going on IR with a wrist injury.
The AFC West-leading Chiefs control their playoff destiny. Likewise, the Bills will further distance themselves from the postseason if they fall to the Chiefs.
